Jermaine Pennant the former Arsenal player was spotted at an exclusive Harley Street clinic – a private hospital that specialises in cosmetic surgery – in May, and sources close to the star told newspapers they suspected something was up.
With his head bandaged Pennant reportedly told ex-fiancée Lara Murphy that he’d just hit his head and needed some treatment, but Lara wasn’t buying his story once she found out where his doctor was based.
The three-hour operation has definitely made a difference, as can be seen in before and after pictures below.
It seems cosmetic enhancements are now all the rage with Premier League stars as Wayne Rooney highlighted with his ‘Frankenstein’ tweet which showed him sporting a new hairline courtesy of an expensive follicle transplant procedure.
Also of interest is whether or not the changes to Pennant will be reflected in the new FIFA Euroleague 12 video game, in which Rooney’s new do has been taken into account by developers using their application performance testing
